#uklibchat at Internet Librarian International 2014 #ili2014

We’re excited to announce that we will be a  part of the X-track at  Internet Librarian International!

On Tuesday 21 October,  11.30 – 13:15 British Summer Time  we will be running the ILI unconference

Our plan is to run hybrid session bringing together people on Twitter, and those attending the session at the Conference.

Our (meta) topic is:  Putting what you learn into practice

The unconference/tweetchat session  will run from    11:45 – 13:15

We’ll be livetweeting  using the hashtags :  #uklibchat  and #ili2014

Below is our plan:

11.30  Brief presentation on unconferences and tweetchats

11.40  Explanation of format and topic: Putting what you learn into practice

11.45  Part 1

Questions for the group and for Twitter

  • Q1 What things have you learnt from conferences and workshops that you have put into practice
  • Q2 What was the impact?
  • Q3 What thing did you try to put in place and didn’t work, and why?
  • Q4 What do you want to put into practice, and have not been able to, and why?

Open questions to the floor and Twitter

12.40  Part 2

Pick examples from question 4 to explore and work in groups to offers solutions.

13.00 Round up

    Unfortunately for me, I won’t be able to participate in this session. But, you totally should! Use http://time.is/compare to figure out what time this will start where you are, if you’re not in the UK.

    Sounds like a great idea. Will you be showing the twitter stream live at the conference?

      Yes! We’re aiming to have a screen up to project the twitter stream in the room while we’re running the session.
